Description : It is important for English learners to know how to formulate and use adjectives. Therefore, in this lesson we are going to explain and facilitate the understanding of Adjectives and their places in speech patterns. Speech in the English language contain various parts: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. The part of speech indicates how the word functions in meaning as well as grammatically within the sentence. An individual word can function as more than one part of speech when used in different examples. Understanding parts of speech is essential for determining the correct definition of a word when using the dictionary. It is imperative that learners acquire the ability to differentiate between these various parts more importantly Adjectives that are formed from Nouns

Public aim: The main outcome of this course is to know how to distinguish different types of adjectives and learn ho to form them in accordance with their speech pattern.

General Objectives: By the end of this lessons, learners will :

  •  Be able to correctly identify and locate adjectives.  ( Knowledge and Comprehension)
  •  Be able to formulate adjectives from adverbs and nouns. ( Application) 
  • Be able to differentiate and compare the different types of adjectives (Analysis) 
  • Be able to order, and select vivid adjectives to enhance their writing style. (Synthesis and Evaluation)
